I Want Invisalign Braces

Invisalign is a virtually invisible way to straighten your teeth. A series of clear aligners are custom-made for your teeth to move them little by little. Invisalign treatment is undertaken by our in-house Specialist Orthodontist, Dr Aoife Monk.

After graduating from King’s College London Dental School in 2010, Aoife has worked as a Senior House Officer in Paediatrics and Oral Surgery. She worked as an Orthagnathic Clinical Fellow at the Royal London Hospital before completing three further years of training at the University of Liverpool to become a Specialist Orthodontist.

Aoife enjoys treating both children and adults, and will be offering a range of braces including metal, ceramic and lingual appliances as well as a range of aligner systems including Invisalign. Aoife says:

Invisalign is a world famous brand, a highly popular treatment option for adults and teenagers, who want to straighten their teeth without compromising their appearance. It has proved very popular at The Dental House!

Invisalign uses sets of custom-made, clear, plastic aligners to straighten your teeth. These aligners simply slot over your teeth. Every two weeks you replace them with the next set in your treatment plan. Your teeth will gradually move closer to their desired position as the weeks pass by.

Invisalign Braces

Invisalign are the perfect option for those who want straight teeth, but don’t want people to know they’re wearing braces. They’re incredibly discreet, can be easily removed and are custom-made so that they are comfortable to wear.

Your day-to-day life is barely affected as you can eat and drink what you like, and you won’t feel the need to hide your smile whilst chatting and socialising; just relax as they get to work to align your teeth. The smooth, plastic material makes them comfortable to wear and hard for others to detect.

Since your Invisalign braces are removable, it’s much easier to take care of your teeth. Just remove your trays when you are ready to brush and floss your teeth and then pop them back in when you have finished. The trays themselves can also be cleaned.

You could save time by opting for Invisalign as there are generally less Orthodontic appointments required. The results can be amazing and your newly straightened teeth can be a real boost to your confidence. Come and see us if you are interested in Invisalign and we can give you our best advice.

The benefits of Invisalign

Invisalign aligners are removable so you can take them out to eat, brush and floss. Because you can remove them, Invisalign aligners are ideal for improving and maintaining high standards of dental hygiene.

They are ideal for patients who enjoy playing sport or play musical instruments – simply take the aligners out during these occasions.

You don’t have to feel self-conscious about wearing the aligners because no-one will be able to see them.

Invisalign has been proven to get great results and has improved the smile of over 5 million people around the globe, including celebrities.

Frequently Asked Questions

Invisalign treatment is a virtually invisible way to straighten your teeth. Using advanced 3D computer-imaging technology, Invisalign shows you your complete treatment plan based on your Invisalign Provider’s prescription, from the initial position of your teeth towards the final desired position. Then a series of clear aligners are custom-made for your teeth to move them little by little.

Each aligner is worn for about two weeks before being replaced by the next in the series, gradually moving towards the projected final position. The treatment time depends on your specific needs.

Invisalign aligners move teeth through a series of carefully controlled movements. Unlike traditional braces, Invisalign treatment not only controls the amount of movement that each aligner delivers, but also the timing of the movement. So, at each stage, only certain teeth can move, following the Invisalign treatment plan for that particular stage. This results in an efficient force delivery system.

If you want to ensure discreteness when wearing braces then Invisalign are going to be the best option for this. However they may not always be the most appropriate for more significant dental issues, and metal or ceramic braces could be the best option. Your dentist will be able to talk you through what’s available for your individual case when you book in for an appointment.

The time taken depends on the complexity of the treatment and is generally comparable to that of traditional braces.
