Teeth whitening can really help to solve these issues. For complete ‘smile makeovers’ patients will often team teeth whitening treatments with other cosmetic dentistry such as braces or composite bonding.

Porcelain Veneers

Discoloured, chipped, worn down teeth? Porcelain Veneers could be the solution to re-inventing your smile and boosting your confidence. A straight, white smile could be yours and your teeth will look healthy and natural.

Porcelain dental veneers can be used in many ways to dramatically improve the colour, shape and position of teeth. If teeth are chipped, worn, discoloured or crooked, veneers can be designed and manufactured to transform the teeth to provide the ideal appearance for your smile.

Veneers are made to fit over the surface of a tooth, and can be created to suit the desired finish, whether that’s to elongate, straighten or perfect the teeth.

Make an appointment with our Treatment Coordinator to discuss this treatment or any other treatment and we can help you to decide what might be best for your needs.

Composite bonding is an incredibly quick procedure and can take place with just one visit to the dentist.

There is no specific aftercare needed with composite bonding. To help the treatment last as long as possible it is important to always follow good oral hygiene practices, such as brushing, flossing, mouthwash and regular checkups at the dentist.

The bonding material can chip, but to avoid this from happening it’s advised that you don’t chew on pens or ice or other food that’s hard, stop biting your fingernails, and you don’t use your bonded teeth as an opener.

If you become aware of sharp edges on your bonded tooth, it’s important to make an appointment with the dentist so they can take a look at it.

This is mainly down to your habits and how much of the material was used on your teeth. But it can last normally between 5 – 7 years before it needs to be touched up or replaced.

Prices typically start from £175 per tooth.

Provided that you look after them well, by following good oral hygiene, porcelain veneers can last for many years.

No, there is no specialist care required for porcelain veneers. But like all teeth, it’s important to follow a good oral hygiene routine with regular brushing, flossing and use of mouthwash.

The cost of porcelain veneers depends on the extent of the work that’s needed, with prices starting from £495 per tooth.

Your porcelain veneers will typically be fitted with two visits to the dentist. The first will be a preparation for the tooth or teeth and a shade match, and then your second visit is when the veneer will be fitted with a specialist adhesive to hold it firmly in place.
