We couldn’t be prouder of our lovely nurse/ receptionist Phil as she outshone other candidates and became DCP Champion of Cheshire and Merseyside.
NHS Health Education England were looking for an outgoing, knowledgeable and hard-working individual to help deliver training to other dental practices and Phil ticked all the boxes! She does a fantastic job here at The Dental House keeping us all up to date on the latest, relevant policies so it was no surprise to us that she was selected to become a DCP Champion.
Phil will be training other dental workers on such topics as delivering better oral health with the aim of getting all practices consistently delivering the same messages to patients.
Here at The Dental House we are ‘Dementia Friends’ and, via training, we learned about what it can be like to have dementia so that we know how best to treat and help our own patients who may suffer from this. Training on how to be a dementia friendly practice is something else that Phil will train others about within her new role.
We know that Phil will do really well as DCP Champion and we are looking forward to our own practice being enhanced by the new things that she will learn. Best of luck Phil!
